Preparing for COLLABORATE 06

March 15, 2006

COLLABORATE 06, which will be held in Nashville at the end of next month, promises to be the largest independent gathering of users of the broad array of Oracle technologies. 5 Minute Briefing talked to Ari Kaplan, president of the IOUG, to learn about some of the preparations. He told us, "With the acquisition of Siebel, PeopleSoft and Retek, Oracle is the leader in the best of breed suites of applications. There are a lot of communities coming together--a lot of users and companies. At Collaborate, there will be three groups with three pretty siloed topics. But when you register for the event, you can attend the content of the other groups. And then we have general sessions that span the entire conference. There is a lot of cooperation."
